The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has cleared Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi to play in Nigeria’s game against Lesotho, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced on Tuesday.
“CAF clears @alexiwobi to play today’s game against Lesotho,” the NFF tweeted.
The federation had earlier announced the 24-year-old tested negative to COVID-19. Iwobi missed Nigeria’s AFCON qualifier against Benin after testing positive for COVID-19.
Nigeria’s last AFCON qualifier against Lesotho will be played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles have already qualified for AFCON 2021.
