She may have earned a reputation for her no holds barred kissing in movies, but actress Omoni Oboli says she cannot lock lips with an actor with bad breath.
The 39-year-old, who has had onscreen tongue wrestling with co-stars like Desmond Elliot, Kunle Afolayan and Majid Michel, made this known in an interview with NET TV.
“No o, I won’t kiss him o!” the mother of three boys exclaimed.
The Wives on Strike actress added “I will tell the director that I cannot kiss him.
“Everybody knows that I am very particular about kissing scenes, so before we begin I always say you need to find out if the actor’s breath is fresh.”
The actress further opened on the kind of men she is comfortable around in the movie industry and what she does to feel comfortable.
“If the actor is someone I am comfortable with, like Ramsey Nouah, Desmond Elliot or someone else, I prefer to give them mint and tell them, ‘young man, let’s help ourselves’.
“We both don’t want to be smelling each other’s breaths, I always make sure that their breath is fresh, we would both freshen our breaths because I will not want to offend anyone if you know what I mean,” she added.
Omoni returned to acting from a decade long sabbatical dedicated to starting a family and rode on the back of her role in Kunle Afolayan’s 2009 thriller, Figurine, to become one of the most sought after actresses in Nollywood.
She has also added scriptwriter, director and producer to her CV.
