American rapper Cardi B has announced that her marriage to fellow hip-hop artiste Offset has crashed after just one year.
The 26-year-old made the announcement in an Instagram post late Tuesday night.
“So everybody been bugging me and everything, and you know I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now,” Cardi said in a video posted to Instagram.
“And we are really good friends and we are really good business partners-and you know he’s always somebody that I run to to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other, but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.”
The rapper went on to say, “It’s nobody fault, it’s just like I guess we just grew out of love but we are not together anymore.”
Cardi and Offset aren’t divorced as of yet, and she says “it might take time” to get that process completed. She also added, “I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father.”
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper and her Migos beau collaborated on the January 2017 track ‘Lick,’ off Cardi’s Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 2. and reportedly started a romance soon after its release.
They secretly got married in September of that year and welcomed their first child Kulture Kiari Cephus in July.
