The fire that engulfed Christ Embassy church headquarters, Oregun, Ikeja on Sunday morning has been put under control, according to Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS).
Director of the service Margaret Adeseye told NAN that the church’s main auditorium was affected.
She said that the fire escalated because the church’s fire service thought they could handle the situation by themselves without recourse to the Lagos fire service.
Adeseye said the cause of the fire could not be ascertained at the moment until after investigation.
Christ Embassy is headed by influential pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
