The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has indefinitely adjourned the trial of the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen.
The tribunal, at the resumed sitting on Monday, adjourned the proceedings, pending the determination of the application filed at the Court of Appeal.
The Court of Appeal had last Thursday barred the CCT from proceeding with hearing in the false assets declaration filed against Mr Onnoghen by the Code Of Conduct Bureau.
President Muhammadu Buhari had also last Friday suspended Onnoghen following an interim order by the CCT, and immediately swore in Tanko Mohammed as Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria.
