The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has adjourned the trial of non-declaration of assets involving the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen, till March 11.
Onnoghen stood in the dock for over one hour of proceeding after refusing a seat offered him by the CCT chairman, Danladi Umar.
Defence counsel, Chris Uche, orally requested for bail which was granted on self-recognisance by the tribunal.
The CCT chairman also withdrew the arrest warrant on the condition that Onnoghen would always appear in court till the conclusion of his trial.
