An Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court has been told that the content of a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) recording on actor James Olarewaju aka Baba Ijesha may have been tampered with.
A defence witness and expert in CCTV installation and maintenance, Adeleke Lawrence implied this while being led in evidence by Babatunde Ogala (SAN) in the ongoing trial of movie star.
During the resumed proceedings on Thursday, two video recordings of Baba Ijesha were played on Ogala’s request.
The first video showed the defendant sitting on a sofa with a minor.
Two men and a woman walked out in the recording, which had no audio.
Speaking on the content of the footage, the witness said: “The gentleman and the lady appeared to be acting the way they were asked to do.”
Baba Ijesha is facing six counts bordering on the indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration, and sexual assault by penetration.
