Celebrity gambler Benjamin Nnanyereugo aka Killaboi, who confessed on Instagram to killing his girlfriend Augusta Osedion, has been arrested in Sierra Leone.
This comes days after he was declared wanted by the police.
Killaboi, 26, had said in July that he “mistakenly” stabbed his girlfriend after they got into an argument. He also said he ran away out of fear and has been suicidal since then.
Confirming his arrest, Lagos police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin told PUNCH on Saturday: “He was arrested by the Sierra Leonan Police Force and we are working on extraditing him to Nigeria.”
Killaboi, a self-acclaimed blockchain developer and crypto purveyor, has been at large since making the open confession.

On October 10, Hundeyin said all available options to bring him in had failed.
“Nnanyereugo is suspected to have murdered his girlfriend, 21-year-old Augusta Onuwabhagbe Osedion, on July 13, 2023 in his Oral Estate, Ajah home. Following the exhaustion of all available options to bring him in, he is declared wanted.
“The suspect is 26 years old, approximately 5’9 ft tall and hails from Abia State. He is dark in complexion and speaks English, Igbo and pidgin English fluently,” he said.
