American singer, Celine Dion, on Saturday lost her brother, Daniel Dion, just two days after her husband passed away.
Daniel, aged 59 had been suffering from throat, brain and tongue cancer.
He spent his last days surrounded by his family, including 88-year-old mother, Therese, at a hospital in Celine’s native home, Montreal, USA.
CBC reports that Daniel’s funeral will take place at St-Simon-et-Jude de Charlemagne Church in Repentigny, Quebec.
According to People Magazine, Celine is still in Vegas with her children making plans for her husband’s funeral.
The ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer’s husband, Rene Angélil, was 73 when he passed away from cancer on Thursday, just two days before his 74th birthday and one month after the couple’s 21st wedding anniversary.
Angélil’s funeral will take place on January 23 at Notre-Dame Basilica in his hometown of Montreal – the same cathedral where the couple wed in 1994.
Following the death of her husband, a grieving Celine promptly cancelled her January 16 and January 17 performances at The Colosseum, Caesars Palace, where she is currently taking part in a residency.
The 47-year-old however revealed that all performances will be resumed on February 23.
