Filmmaker, Charles Novia, has announced the death of his mother, Clara Osayuware Uwaifo, who passed on in the early hours of Monday.
She was almost 87 years old, according to her famous son.
“The fond memories of a matriarch who begat me and other great men and women will never leave me.
“Rest, my mother. Rest.
“You ran a Great Race,” the man born Charles Igbinovia wrote in a Facebook message on Monday.
Announcing the death on Film4Life, a WhatsApp platform of key Nollywood practitioners, costumier, Iyen Agbonifo-Obaseki, wrote: “Good morning distinguished Nigerians. In everything, we must give thanks to God.
“A very good, calm and gentle soul now resting in the bosom of her creator. The mother of Kabat Esosa Egbon and Charles ‘Novia joins the Saints.”
