Veteran musician Charly Boy has criticised the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over the arrest of his junior colleagues Mohbad and Zinoleesky.
NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi confirmed that the singers were arrested during a raid in the early hours of Thursday.
He said: “We raided their apartment based on information that they had drugs, and indeed, we recovered cannabis and molly from their home and car. Six persons were arrested in all. Two females and four males.”
Reacting in an Instagram post, Charly Boy who posted a video of the scene stated that the raid was unnecessary.
The 71-year-old wrote: “NDLEA raided and harassed Zinoleesky and Mohbad for inside der house last night. Why dis useless unnecessary Bragado?
“If na drugs dem dey look for, dey should travel up north and see how drugs has destroyed most northerners especially children of the so called big men. Why are dey mercilessly terrorizing southerners. Where is Justice?”
