Maverick musician, Charly Boy, on Monday made good his promise to lead a group of protesters demanding the repatriation of former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
The 65-year-old and his #OurMumuDonDo brigade were at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) head office in Abuja for the start of a two-day sit out.
It comes as Justice Abdulazeez Anka of the Federal High Court in Lagos ordered the immediate forfeiture of 7.6 billion naira allegedly held in local bank accounts by the embattled politician.
Properties at home and abroad have also been seized from the 56-year-old former OPEC president.
Alison-Madueke, who served as petroleum minister under former President Goodluck Jonathan, is currently in Britain where she is also facing corruption probe.
She is on police bail after being arrested in connection with a British probe into international corruption and money laundering.
Monday’s protest at the EFCC office is a call on the Federal Government to apply for her extradition and prosecution in Nigeria.
It is happening two weeks after Charly Boy and others marched to demand that President Muhammadu Buhari, who was then on medical vacation in Britain, should either resume office or resign.
The musician was attacked at the Wuse Market during one of the marches by supporters of the President.
