Young influencer, Chaste Inegbedion, was recently named grand prize winner of the 2016 Social Media Week Lagos Premium Economy Free Ticket sponsored by Lufthansa Airline.
Speaking on the price, Group Managing Director for Sub Saharan Africa, Lufthansa, Claus Becker, said “we are happy to welcome Chaste on board the Lufthansa’s new Premium Economy to also enjoy the new business class as a result of the Social Media Week Lagos.”
The recipient commended the management of Lufthansa German Airline and organisers of the Social Media Week Lagos for making it possible for him to continue his conversations on the Global Goals around the World.
On where he plans to go with the ticket, Chaste listed Denmark for the Woman Deliver 4th Global Conference or JCI World Congress in Canada.
Lufthansa has continuously strived to be socially conscious. Help Alliance, the aid organisation of Lufthansa staff, has had a strong focus on aid projects in Africa. Last year more than 800,000 Euros was earmarked for supporting 20 projects across the African continent – with three of the projects in Nigeria.
Following Chaste’s emergence as Leap Africa Social Innovation Programme Fellow in 2015, it was only a matter of time before global titans with whom he shares kindred spirit in the league of champions, extend the hands of comradeship to him. He was also shortlisted for the British Council Enterprise Challenge and as a token of their appreciation of his effort and for making the top 50 video shortlist, got a souvenir from one of their partners, Samsung Electronics.
BudgIT Team Leader, Oluseun Onigbinde, a Lufthansa fan, applauds the airline commitment and also pledged his support to Chaste’s attendance at the JCI World Congress, Quebec in October 2016.
