Chelsea fans were once again left red-faced by Tiemoue Bakayoko’s underwhelming performance for the club against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old hasn’t succeeded in winning many Blues fans over since his switch from Monaco in the summer.
But he hit a new low against Atletico.
During the second half, Bakayoko looked on course to receive a simple pass from N’Golo Kante but he somehow miscontrolled the ball and it went out of play for an Atletico throw-in.
To make matters worse, the Frenchman attempted to stop the ball before it hit the advertising board but ended up on his backside after slipping over on the surface surrounding the edge of the pitch.
Chelsea battled to a 1-1 draw and supporters took it as another opportunity to criticise the midfielder who was also condemned for his performance when the club drew with Liverpool at Anfield on November 25.
Get Ruben Loftus-Cheek back and ship Bakayoko on loan to Palace, complete mistake.

Think Bakayoko might just about be the worst signing in recent history pic.twitter.com/WYXNOMFOIQ

Bakayoko has been wank. This guy should be dropped for the entire season looking at his form

When I saw Bakayoko trending I thought he scored a hatrick so naturally I checked.
The rest is hilarious

Why did Bakayoko start in the first place? He’s so poor. Bring Matic back (if only)
