Chelsea legend, Pat Nevin, reckons Nigeria midfielder, Victor Moses, could play up front for the Blues in the absence of suspended Diego Costa.
Antonio Conte’s side will miss the services of Costa for the upcoming clash with Bournemouth after accumulating five yellow cards.
Writing for Chelsea’s official website, Nevin who spent five years at Stamford Bridge suggested a tongue-in-cheek replacement for the former Atletico Madrid star.
After considering Eden Hazard and Pedro for the position, the Blues hero opines that the Nigerian could just be the ideal backup for the Spaniard.
“Maybe Conte will have found out that Victor Moses has the ability to do that central role as well.”
Chelsea sit top of the Premier League ahead of their Boxing Day showdown with Bournemouth.
They can extend their lead at the summit to nine points if they win and results elsewhere go their way.
