Chelsea coach, Antonio Conte, has described his team’s current injury crisis as a mysterious one.
Victor Moses joined the likes of Alvaro Morata and N’Golo Kante in the treatment room during the 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace.
Ahead of the Blues’ Champions League clash with AS Roma, Conte lamented the club’s spate of injuries despite all the rigorous activities in training.
“When you play four competitions there are injuries. We train well to stay away from injuries,” the Italian told the media on Tuesday.
“It is something weird that is happening now, but the players are fit and hopefully we will have the others back soon and not have any more injuries.”
Conte also believes some of his players are struggling competing on all fronts.
“I think the problem are that they are always playing the same players. We have players that are not used to playing three in a row.
“Kante and Moses, first time to play three games in a row, Morata the first time regularly, Alonso the same.
“Sometimes you have to take a risk, like Manchester City Morata got injured, but if I don’t start him you tell me I’m crazy. Sometimes the players need to rest.”
