Award-winning writer Chimamanda Adichie has said she will be holding a virtual weekly reading of her award-winning book Half of a Yellow Sun.
The 43-year-old made this known in an Instagram post.
“Join me for a weekly reading of Half of A Yellow Sun starting this week with Chapters 1-6,” she wrote on Monday.
“The reading will be uploaded on Fridays at 8 PM WAT.”
Chimamanda said they will be reading every Friday from November 27 till December 31.
On November 12 Chimamanda was announced as the winner for the Women’s Prize ‘Winner of Winners’ in its 25th year history for her fictional novel Half of a Yellow Sun.
She had won the Women’s prize in 2007.
Among all the winners in the past 25 years Chimamanda’s novel emerged as the best.
Other authors who have won in the past include Zadie Smith, the late Andrea Levy, Lionel Shriver, Rose Tremain, and Maggie O’Farrell among others.
