Actor-cum-politician Kenneth Okonkwo has said that he believes the presence of the renowned author Chimamanda Adichie at the Presidential Election Petition Court would bring good fortune to the Peter Obi camp.
Adichie shocked many on Tuesday when she turned up at the court in an orange dress.
She exchanged pleasantries with Mr Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 poll, and the party’s vice-presidential candidate Datti Baba-Ahmed.
The novelist attended court hearing to witness the adoption of the final written address by the Labour Party and Obi.
Prior to the election, Adichie endorsed Obi for the nation’s top job. In April, she also wrote an open letter to United States President Joe Biden not to congratulate Bola Tinubu, claiming that the presidential election was flawed.
Kenneth, who is one of the spokespersons for the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign, shared a photo of himself in his law attire with Adichie.

He said he had no doubt the novelist’s presence would bring good fortune because her middle name Ngozi means ‘blessing’.
“We are seated now waiting for the Judges to come in. It’s great meeting the Queen of the books herself, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, in court. I have no doubt that her presence will bring us good fortune because Ngozi means blessing. May God answer our prayers,” he said.
Kenneth earlier shared a video of Obi’s lawyers deliberating. He captioned it, “Preparing for the Presidential Election Petition Court for the adoption of our final written addresses.”
Also in court were the director-general of the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Organisation, Akin Osuntokun; the party’s national chairman Julius Abure among others.
