Nollywood actors, Chinedu Ikedieze, Charles Inojie and other cast of the Africa Magic series The Johnsons held a night of tributes for Ada Ameh who played Emu on the TV series.
The event was held at the Amphi Theater Freedom Park, Marina, Lagos on Thursday August 18.
Speaking at the event, Charles Inojie, said he still finds difficult to talk about Ada Ameh in past tense since the news of her death broke. He added that words were not enough to qualify her.
He said: “Since the news broke on the 17, it has become impossible to refer to her as the past. Adah is the only person I know will quarrel with you now and if you come to work the next day, she’ll make a soup and say ‘who miss this food ehn, na him know wetin he loose o’.
“She will say yunno go go chop, you dey carry face. Words are not enough to qualify her.”
Others who attended the event include filmmaker Zeb Ejiro, actress Chioma Apotha and singer Joepraize.
Chioma shared a video of herself and others at the event on her Instagram page with heartbreak emojis.
Ada Ameh’s younger sister Ene was also present at the night of tributes.
Ada Ameh, aged 48, died on Sunday, July 17, 2022, two years after the death of her daughter Aladi.
