British-Nigerian actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor, is reportedly back on the market after breaking up with his girlfriend, Sari Mercer.
A report in the Sun says the 38-year-old who survived a car accident that killed his father in 1988 he is now single after splitting with the Canadian.
It quotes a source as saying: “It’s sad but the relationship came to a natural end. Sari was always such a big part of his life so it was definitely a big surprise to hear they had separated.”
The 12 Years a Slave star and his model girlfriend were on the cover of the February 2014 edition of OK! Nigeria magazine.
Actress/model, Mercer, has a BSc in Exercise Science and an MSc in Eating Disorders and Clinical Nutrition. She has lived and worked in London, New York, Milan, and Istanbul.
