According to TMZ, one of the injured people, Paul Briley has filed a lawsuit against the singer, claiming that the-24-year-old failed to provide sufficient security and that he is now permanently injured as a result.
Briley claims that since Brown has a history of multiple violent incidents at shows, he should have had more security that night.
The January 11 shooting at San Jose’s Fiesta Nightclub, resulted in a 60-day suspension of the club’s liquor license.
Brown’s publicist, Nicole Perna of BWR-PR, issued this statement: “It is a poor reflection of our society that violence is so prevalent and it is always a tragedy when someone is physically harmed. However, this is a completely frivolous lawsuit. We expect that the case will be dismissed and in future, to avoid these reoccurring meritless lawsuits directed at Chris Brown, we plan to seek damages from all parties and their lawyers.”
In August 2014, the artiste hosted a pre-VMA party where four people were shot including Death Row Records founder Suge Knight.
Chris was imprisoned in March 2015 for violating his parole and breaking the rules of the rehab facility he was admitted in.
The Grammy Award winning artiste has since then tried to turn his life around, with him knowing he has his daughter, Royalty, to think about.
