Chrisland Schools, Victoria Garden City, Lagos has suspended a female pupil accused of taking part in a truth-or-dare game in Dubai.
The school sent some of its students to Dubai, UAE for the World School Games held from March 10-13, 2022. The school won about 34 medals.
However, a letter dated April 14, 2022, which has gone viral on social media shows the school suspended a female pupil for taking part in “improper behaviour” “after playing the truth-or-dare game.”
Although the school did not mention that the minor was involved in sexual activity, the video has also gone viral.
Following investigation by the school, Principal Georgia Azike said in the letter, “In line with our core values centred on discipline, Chrisland Schools have zero tolerance for any improper behaviour and misconduct.
“Consequently, [name redacted) is hereby placed on indefinite suspension until you as the parents ensure that she is punished, adequately counselled and rehabilitated.”
It was alleged on social media that a pregnancy test was conducted by the school without the girl’s parents’ knowledge.
Meanwhile, the school said other schoolmates who took part in the game have been suspended, adding that the girl and her parents did not co-operate during its investigation.
