Former Super Eagles coach, Christian Chukwu, and his wife have arrived in London to commence treatments for prostate cancer on the football legend.
In a tweet of Thursday, Nigerian football governing body, NFF, announced that the couple were accompanied by the head of the football house, Mr Amaju Pinnick.
“Nigeria legend Christian Chukwu (here with wife and NFF boss Pinnick) has arrived in hospital in London to undergo treatment,” they wrote.
Christian Chukwu, with support from the Enugu state government, had undergone an initial surgery in Nigeria.
In April, Qed.ng reported that the 68-year-old former footballer had been presented with a cheque of $50,000 by a representative of billionaire, Femi Otedola.
Present at the handing-over were Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the governor of Enugu state, Amaju Pinnick, the chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and sports journalist, Onochie Anibeze.
