There was catastrophe at a German fifth-tier club after a cleaner mistakenly wiped framed autographs of Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Manuel Neuer.
Guardiola and Klopp, formerly managers at Bundesliga side Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have since moved to the Premier League with Manchester City and Liverpool respectively.
Neuer, still at Bayern, is probably the best goalkeeper in the world.
Getting the autographs of the trio doesn’t happen every day.
But SpVgg SV Weiden had their signatures and displayed it on their VIP section at the club facilities in the Oberpfalz region in the south of Germany.
However, Weiden club secretary Susanne Bohm revealed that a member of the cleaning crew had removed them overnight.
“I was as if struck by lightning,” Bohm told local outlet onetz. “A cleaner must have thought that a couple of youths had a party up there and daubed on it.”
None of the cleaners have so far admitted the mistake, but the club remain confident that they can recreate their piece of art and have already contacted Bayern, who played Weiden in 2013, and hope to get Klopp and Guardiola on board as well.
