Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi, on Thursday uploaded a video of his twin daughters playing at home on Instagram.

As he continues to ponder over his next career move after ending his contract with Chinese Super League side, Tianjin Teda, the 31-year-old has found more time to play with his children.

“My silly bugs,” he tagged the video of Mia and Ava rolling around in a room that contains some of their father’s medals.

The former Chelsea star and his Russian partner, Olga Diyachenko, welcomed their daughters in 2015.

Mikel left Stamford Bridge in January 2017 but injuries meant he made just 31 appearances for Tianjin.

He is in search for a new challenge, with reports linking his to a return to Europe.

“As for my next stop, I am not sure yet, maybe I will return to Europe, maybe stay in China,” he was quoted as saying by local Chinese media.

The 2010 UEFA Champions League winner is also keen to force his way back into the Nigeria team ahead of this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

“Can’t wait,” he declared in an earlier Instagram post on Thursday.

The midfielder has not played for his country since last summer’s World Cup, leading to speculation about his international future.

“With Mikel you cannot say when and if he will be returning to the team now,” said Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr.

This is the first time since he began his professional career at Norwegian club, Lyn Oslo, in 2004 that Mikel finds himself without a club.
