Communications expert, Richmond Dayo-Johnson, also known as Richie Dayo-Johnson, has died of suspected heart attack in the United Kingdom.
RDJ, as he was fondly called, died on Monday aged 60.
An alumnus of the University of Teesside, Middlesbrough, England, Mr Dayo-Johnson was a fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts.
He worked at GEC, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham and IBM London before becoming deputy managing director of Universal Communications Group – publishers of The Job Paper, London.
He was also part of the team which built Radio Continental (now Max FM) and TV Continental into enviable brands. The channels won best Radio and Television NBMA 2016 Award.
Dayo-Johnson worked in partnership with big brands such as Nigerian Breweries, Exxon-Mobil, England & Wales Cricket Board, NHS, YMCA, HSBC, British Food Standards Agency, Citigroup, MTN, Access Bank, LASAA, The Wheatbaker, LEAP Africa, Windsor Fellowship, Daystar Christian Centre, RCCG Nigeria, UK & Ireland, Terra Kulture, Diana, The Princess of Wales Fund, Commonwealth Business Council, Nottingham County Council, Peace Alliance, UK, London, Islington Business Education, Stonebridge HAT, London Boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Brent, Wandsworth, Sutton and Croydon.
A lover of wine, Dayo-Johnson is survived by his wife and three adult children.
