A total of 116 staff of customer experience provider, iSON Xperiences, in Ibadan, Oyo State have tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, announced the latest cases on Saturday evening.
“Nine confirmed Covid-19 patients have received their second negative test results and have been discharged. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to fifty-eight,” he wrote on Twitter.
“Also, the Covid-19 confirmation tests for thirty suspected cases came back positive. Twenty-seven cases are from iSON Xperiences and one each from Ibadan South West, Ibadan South East and Oluyole Local Government Areas.
“So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State as at 5.30PM today (Saturday) is 233.”
Thirty of the company’s staff first tested positive for the virus on May 16.
Six tested positive on May 19. On May 20, 15 were confirmed positive.
Twenty-seven more tested positive on May 21.
On May 22, the state government confirmed 11 of the company’s staff had tested positive.
The latest cases (27) from the company were announced on Saturday.
