Police in Jos have arrested a 33-year-old construction worker, Oladipo Oyefemi, for alleged murder of a 24-year-old said to be a call girl.

Mr Oyefemi, a graduate of Geology and Mining from the University of Jos, allegedly picked the lady, Patience Musa, at the West of Mines area of Jos, at about midnight on May 31.

It was gathered that the two had agreed on a fee of N3,000 for the night.

The suspect allegedly killed the woman while she was at his house at Millionaires Quaters, and tried to dump her body.

Police said he was apprehended by a vigilante group keeping watch around the quarters.

“While inspecting her body at the mortuary, we found that she was killed in a very brutal manner. She was stabbed on both breasts with the attacker aiming directly at both nipples with precision, then directly at her heart, then the neck region and other parts, before strangling her.

“The police told us that Oyefemi and his security man went to dump her body in a nearby bush but were apprehended by a vigilante group who promptly called the police.

“The police also informed us that after he killed her, he cleaned everywhere in his room and dressed his bed so perfectly that no one could even imagine that such gruesome murder happened in the same room,” lawyer to the deceased’s family, Ralph Monye, said.

Oyefemi was on Monday transferred from Nasarawa Gwom police station to the state CID ‘for discreet investigation’, Plateau police spokesman, Tyopev Terna, said.
