Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has confirmed Victor Moses will miss the club’s Champions League clash with Qarabag on Wednesday.
Moses, 26, is recuperating from an injury suffered against his former club, Crystal Palace, in October.
The Nigerian is not the only one who won’t make the trip, three other stars including Belgian forward, Michy Batshuayi, won’t be available.
Conte will be able to call on most of his first-team stars including fit Ede Hazard in the penultimate Champions League group game.
“Hazard is fit and no new injuries,” the Italian tactician said in the club’s pre-match conference on Tuesday evening.
“Batshauyi and Moses are not available for tomorrow’s game, also Musonda and Kenedy.
“Kenedy had a little muscular problem, but I think he is very close to be back with us.”
Chelsea can book their place in the last 16 of the Champions League by beating Qarabag in Baku.
The Blues are a point behind group leaders Roma and can overtake the Italians if the Serie A side fail to beat Atletico Madrid.
The Qarabag game comes just a few days before Chelsea travel to Liverpool on Saturday.
And with Liverpool playing on Tuesday night and Chelsea needing to travel back from Azerbaijan on Wednesday night, Conte has hit out at the fixture imbalance.
“Would like to underline that I am talking about all teams that is playing in CL, not only Chelsea,” he said.
“England needs to try to understand this and try to change something. A lot of time there isn’t an English team to win the CL; every team has the possibility to go through.
“Who prepare these fixtures must pay great attention.
“We are doing our job and it’s important to do it in the best way. We want also a bit of respect for our job.”
