Lawyer, model and actress Ifunanya Grant has denied releasing her nude picture on social media.
Ms Grant was called to the bar on July 28, 2021, but quickly became famous over her controversial photos on Instagram. In 2022, she told TheNigeriaLawyer in a statement that she was not practising law and that her pictures on Instagram are for modelling and acting purposes only.
Grant spoke recently with Yangi Media about her nude photo, stating that it did not come from her.
“Contrary to popular opinion, because people feel like the way I’m wild I’d go to the length of leaking my nudes maybe for popularity or anything, but that’s not what happened honestly,” she said.
“If I have my way, I wouldn’t even want that to happen but that’s how I saw it. There is nothing I can do.”
She also denied reports that she was suspended by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
“I was never suspended. I mean, we all know that Nigerian Bar Association is a reputable organisation. If I were suspended, they will make it known to the public that this is what happened. It wouldn’t come from blogs,” she said.
