The coronation of Omoba Emiko as the 21st Olu of Warri kicked off on Saturday with boat regatta.
Boats painted in beautiful colours and hoisting Nigerian flags, as well as the traditional red and white colours, danced on the Warri river.
A praise and worship session was held on Friday at the Warri boatyard ahead of the coronation.
A video of the Olu-designate coming out of seclusion was posted on the monarch’s official Instagram page.
