The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 338 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, bringing the total number in the country to 5,959.
The agency announced this on Sunday night via Twitter.
Of the 338 new cases, the NCDC said 177 are in Lagos, 64 in Kano, 21 in the FCT, 16 in Rivers, 14 in Plateau, 11 in Oyo, nine in Katsina, four each in Jigawa and Kaduna, and three each in Abia, Bauchi and Borno.
Others are two each in Gombe, Akwa Ibom and Delta, and one each in Ondo, Kebbi and Sokoto.
The agency added that 1,594 persons have been discharged while 182 others have died from the disease.
Meanwhile, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 on Sunday briefed President Muhammadu Buhari on their work so far.
