The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 242 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease in the country.
The agency said on Twitter on Monday night that of the 242 new cases, 88 are in Lagos, 64 in Kano, 49 in Katsina, 13 in Kaduna, nine in Ogun, six in Gombe, four in Adamawa, three in the FCT, and one each in Ondo, Oyo, Rivers, Zamfara, Borno and Bauchi.
This brings Nigeria’s confirmed COVID-19 cases to 4,641, with 902 discharged and 150 deaths.
The NCDC also corrected an error earlier announced in COVID-19 deaths in Nasarawa State.
“On the 10th of April 2020, we erroneously announced 2 new deaths in Nasarawa,” it wrote.
“There was 1 death in Nasarawa reported on the 10th of April.
“We apologise to the State Government for this error, & remain committed to providing accurate data.”
