Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and his three accomplices have been granted bail by an Accra Circuit court on Tuesday October 25.
Qed.ng had reported that Shatta Wale and the others were remanded in police custody for one week after pleading ‘not guilty’ to allegation of spreading false information, following claims that the singer was shot.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the police said the singer who turned himself in, was arrested to assist the police in investigations for his alleged involvement in the creation and circulation of information intended to cause fear and panic.
The 37-year-old was granted GH100,000 bail. His three accomplices, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Idris Yusif, and Eric Venator, were also granted bail on grounds that they had been counseled, are not flight risk and will not escape.
The case has been adjourned and the accused will re-appear in court on November 9.
