Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, has been remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Lawal had earlier pleaded not guilty to 10-count charges bordering on conspiracy and fraud.
A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) high court on Tuesday ordered his detention, ruling that his bail application would be heard on Wednesday.
The commission had filed the suit against him on January 30 alongside Hamidu Lawal, Suleiman Abubakar, and two companies, Rholavision Engineering Ltd and Josmon Technologies Ltd.
The said offences run contrary to section 26(1)(c) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000 and punishable under section 12 of the same Act.
