A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered remanding a former minister of power and steel Olu Agunloye in Kuje Correctional Service.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Agunloye on Wednesday over $6 billion purported scam involving the Mambilla hydropower project.
Agunloye pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was taken into custody on December 13, 2023.

Before that, the EFCC declared Agulonye wanted over the Mambilla hydropower project.
Agunloye was a minister during President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration (1999-2003).
Obasanjo accused him of illegally awarding the project’s contract without the Federal Executive Council’s approval.
Agunloye has denied any wrongdoing.
