A Federal High Court in Lagos has dismissed the charges of abuse of the naira filed against Instagram celebrity Pascal Okechukwu aka Cubana Chief Priest.

Justice Kehinde Ogundare struck out the charges on Tuesday after the prosecution and defence agreed on terms of settlement.

Cubana Chief Priest was arraigned on April 17 by the EFCC on a three-count charge of allegedly spraying and tampering with naira notes during a social event at Eko Hotel in Lagos.

He had pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of N10 million.

However, in his ruling, Justice Ogundare said, “Upon the agreement of the prosecution and defence pursuant to the EFCC Establishment Act, the agreement having been presented to the court, this charge is hereby struck out as the defendant is hereby cautioned.”
