Founder and president of LoveWorld Incorporated, popularly known as Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has stirred controversy on social media after saying that God’s original plan was not to create a woman.
A video of the pastor went viral on Thursday where he addresses a congregation, saying that the woman was created because of the man.
The video was reportedly culled from a sermon preached in 2016.
“The reason God made woman was because of man. He made the woman because of the man. That’s why he made the woman. So woman was not his original idea,” Oyakhilome said.
Following cheers from the crowd, the 55-year-old preacher continued, “Let’s see what the Bible says. When God had made everything and then he made Adam, the Bible says everything was very good. Already, everything was very good. No problem.”
More cheers followed before the cleric added that “if most women had their father bold enough to talk to them they would be very successful in their marriage.”
Oyakhilome’s marriage with Anita ended in 2016 after they had been together since 1991.
Their marriage produced two children: Sharon and Charlyn
