Businessman and Instagram celebrity Cubana Chief Priest has joined fans of singer Flavour in mourning after the musician announced his father’s death.
Flavour shared the news on social media on Wednesday, May 22, posting a touching tribute with the caption, “Nnam, Pape Ijele, Rest well.”
According to reports, Flavour’s father succumbed to old age-related ailments after being confined to a wheelchair for some time.
The post uploaded by the singer shows Flavour performing with a guitar for his father, who was seated in a wheelchair. The heartwarming moment showed the man nodding his head in appreciation of his son’s performance, surrounded by other family members.
The death of his father is said to have left Flavour heartbroken as he was preparing for his tour of Europe.
In a show of solidarity, Cubana Chief Priest shared a photo with Flavour on Instagram, using the title of one of the highlife singer’s hit songs ‘Big Baller’ to say influential people are coming to Flavour’s hometown Umunze, headquarters of Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Cubana Chief Priest, who calls himself celebrity bar man and owns a chain of bars, added in Igbo that God gives and he takes.
“Ijele Nwanne m, @2niteflavour, Rest In Peace Papa Ijele. Big Ballers Are Coming To Umunze. Okwa Chukwu Wetere, Chukwu Ewelugo,” he wrote.
Fans and well-wishers have also flooded social media with condolence messages.
