Instagram Celebrity Cubana Chief Priest has reacted to the questioning of his former boss and friend Obi Cubana by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
A source told NAN that “Obi Cubana was arrested and brought to the EFCC headquarters on Monday afternoon over allegations of money laundering and tax fraud.
“He is being grilled by detectives as we speak,” the source said.
Reacting in an Instagram post on Tuesday, Cubana Chief Priest uploaded a photo of himself and the businessman asking for the release of his friend. The celebrity barman also added that the Igbos are used to this.
“What Doesn’t Kill Us Makes Us Stronger, We Igbo’s Re Used To This, Mbakala Ga Ama Ozo Mana Ozo Ga Ala. #FreeObiCubana,” he wrote.
Singer Davido has also reacted to the report.
Obi Cubana made headlines for several weeks in July over the lavish funeral for his mother, Ezinne Iyiegbu, in Oba, Anambra State.
The star-studded ceremony had celebrities and politicians Kanayo O Kanayo, Davido, Kcee, E-money, Cubana Chief priest, Peter Obi, Shina Peller and Abba Kyari in attendance.
