Opposition parties on the platform of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) have alleged that the Federal Government plans to arrest the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen, on Tuesday, January 22.
CUPP spokesperson, Imo Ugochinyere, disclosed this at a press conference in Abuja on Friday.
Mr Ugochinyere said the arrest would be carried out shortly after a bench warrant would have been issued by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) against Mr Onnoghen.
He added that arrangements had been concluded to immediately name Tanko Muhammed as acting CJN.
