Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Gifty Powers, has described cybercrime popularly known as ‘yahoo yahoo’ as a game.
The 26-year-old entrepreneur said this in a since-deleted post on InstaStories.
Gifty Powers also criticised the victims of cybercrime, accusing them of greediness.
She added that police officers just arrested anybody with a laptop without carrying out due investigations.
In recent times, cybercrime has become a major talking point among Nigerians.
Musician, Naira Marley, had made similar comments supporting cybercrime in May sparking criticism.
He was later arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and charged to court.
Other celebrities such as Simi, Ali Baba and Falz have however spoken vigorously against yahoo yahoo.
