Singer, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has expressed regret that fellow singer, Cynthia Morgan, now known as Madrina, once rejected a contract he offered her.
The 38-year-old said on Sunday while reacting to revelations made by Cynthia that her career nosedived because of problems with Jude Okoye.
Jude is the older brother of Peter and his twin brother, Paul Okoye, with whom he made up the now defunct P-Square duo.
“My dear C Morgan, The decision I made 3yrs ago was never about the firm, money, or power! It was for my freedom! Sad you rejected the contract I gave u. Just because they made you see me like the bad egg. I pray you understand that God has a purpose for everything. Never give up,” he tweeted.
Cynthia had earlier revealed that she had lost access to her social media accounts and the use of her former stage name at the expiration of her contract with her former label, Northside Entertainment, owned by Jude Okoye.
Mr P too has since walked out of his relationship with Jude and Paul after years of disagreement over the management of P-Square and family feud.
Cynthia had called for a truce between the brothers in an open letter she published on Instagram in 2016.
The letter read in part: “Hey big bros good morning… I just want to beg you guys in the name of God. I am one of the people you are ruining their childhood memories if Psquare should really split up…”
P-Square finally broke up in 2017 after the brothers clashed physically in the Lagos office of their lawyer, Festus Keyamo.
