On-air personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has sparked an online debate following a controversial post about the flooding in Lagos.
On Wednesday, amid a heavy downpour in Lagos, Daddy Freeze took to his Facebook account to mock mainland residents.
“Mainland too is flooded… Shebi dem dey laugh us for island, now na their turn,” he wrote.
This comment drew numerous responses from netizens, including one from Owolabi Anifowose who stated, “Ikorodu is not flooded o.”
Daddy Freeze responded, “Don’t worry no one wants to live there even if it’s dry…”
The media personality didn’t stop there. He took a screenshot of the exchange and shared it on Instagram.
He captioned the post, “This life a turn by turn,” accompanied by laughing emojis.
The Instagram post quickly garnered reactions, with some netizens calling him “savage” and others defending Ikorodu.
Lagos experienced heavy rainfall on Wednesday, resulting in flooding and traffic disruptions in various areas.
Meanwhile, singer Teni also took to Instagram to express her feelings about the rain, sharing a post captioned “RAIN AND LOVE,” highlighting her sense of loneliness during the storm.
