The 48-year-old music veteran shared videos of him and his son via Instagram on Sunday to mark the special occasion.
In one caption, he expressed his pride at the man his son is turning to.
In another post of a birthday party from years ago that had Pasuma in attendance, he asked his grandmother to protect his son as he grew older.
Daddy Showkey, born John Asiemo, is a veteran Nigerian galala singer.
His genre of music is called ghetto dance or simply ghetto.
He came to limelight courtesy of a string of hits in the late 1990s.
