Fuji musician Wasiu Alabi Pasuma is celebrating veteran dancehall singer Daddy Showkey on his 50th birthday.
The 52-year-old took to his Instagram page on Tuesday to send birthday wishes to the ‘Ghetto Soldier’ singer.
Pasuma gushed on how Daddy Showkey born John Asiemo had become a part of him as they have been friends for more than 25 years.
He wrote: “Happy buffday to my blood brother since day Zero till now, John Asiemo yhu are a true friend Over 25years and we are still counting, I don’t cee yhu as a friend buh as part of me, Olorogun as we dat knows yhu tipetipe use to call yhu, I wish yhu long life and prosperity in good health and my personal person.”
Several other celebrities who celebrated Daddy Showkey on Instagram are Fuji musician Saheed Osupa and 2Baba among others.
Actress Angela Okorie made a video on the photo-sharing platform, urging her fans to wish Daddy Showkey a happy birthday. She also prayed for long life and prosperity for the father of four.
Daddy Showkey, a product of Ajegunle in Lagos, became popular in the late 1990s for his ‘Galala’ style.
Pasuma on the other hand is a celebrated Fuji musician with a career that dates back to 1984. In 2015, he released his debut pop album titled My World which features hip-hop star artistes like Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Oritsefemi, Patoranking among others.
In May 2016, Daddy Showkey posted a picture on Instagram to celebrate his longtime friend Pasuma on his birthday and to remind fans of how far they had come in the entertainment industry.
