Dancehall star, Daddy Showkey, has released a new single titled ‘Showkey Again’.
Produced by Phat Beatz, the song is described as “a mid tempo but feisty track”.
It comes six months after the 46-year-old released a track titled ‘One Day’.
Born John Asiemo, Daddy Showkey emerged from Ajegunle, Lagos in the 90s and was part of a musical group known as Pretty Busy Boys with Daddy Fresh, Cashman Davies, and Sexy Pretty.
He was hugely popular for his galala music and scored his biggest hit with the ghetto-inspired track, ‘Dyna’.
His other popular tracks include ‘Welcome’ and ‘Call My Name’.
He is currently signed to Lion Clan Records and is managed by Plantashun Entertainment Management Company.
The former amateur boxer, gymnast and bus conductor recently settled a rift between Harrysong and Five Star Music Group over the former’s alleged breach of contract.
‘Showkey Again’ comes with a parental advisory about explicit content.
