Actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande has debunked allegations made against her by blogger Gistlover that she is one of the ‘side chics,’ a local term for lovers, of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

In a video posted on Dakore’s Instagram page on Monday, the visibly upset actress expressed her disappointment and anger over the claims.

Beginning the video, Dakore explained that she had just arrived in the US for a summer vacation, which had kept her offline.

She stated that she started receiving numerous calls alerting her to what she described as “a very wicked lie.”

“I must say I am very disappointed, I am very shocked, I am appalled, and I want to categorically state that I have never ever in my life met the Senate President.

“I have not had any cause to see him or to be in the same room with him, not to talk of being one of his ‘side chics’.

“Hello, I am married, happily married, I have two beautiful children and I have always been above board in my dealings with everyone.

“So for a blogger, a jobless wicked blogger to decide to put my name amongst women who have been with this man is totally wicked and totally unfounded, it is a lie from the pit of hell,” she said.

Dakore emphasised that she is ready to take legal action, stating that the said blogger have targeted the wrong person.

She expressed her determination not to let a blog tarnish her hard-earned reputation.

The controversy began on Sunday when Gistlover released a list of women allegedly having romantic affairs with Akpabio despite his marital status.

The list included celebrities such as Ini Edo, Nancy Isime, Hilda Baci, Dakore, Nwanneka Nkumah, Nnadi Shontel, and others.

In a now-deleted Instagram post shared on Monday, hair vendor Nwanneka also debunked the accusations, urging the blog to verify their information.
