Chef Damilola Adeparusi on Wednesday morning completed the 120-hour landmark in her cook-a-thon challenge.
Adeparusi, also known as chef dammy, began her 120-hour cooking marathon in Oye Local Government Area in Ekiti State on Friday, June 9.
She shared a video on Instagram of people celebrating her completion of the target.
“Through it all, we came out. Not only did we come out, but we did it stronger, better, more resilient, nd ready to take on more… Thank you for being there for us. We hit #120hours,” she wrote.
This is coming barely a few hours after record holder for the longest hours in cooking (individual category), Hilda Baci, who cooked on a stretch for 100 hours, was certified by the Guinness World Records (GWR).
On Tuesday, the vice chancellor and management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) visited the 26-year-old Adeparusi and gifted her N200,000.
Adeparusi will overtake Hilda Baci as the new world record holder if her effort is confirmed by the GWR.
