Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote hosted Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy for Iftar on Tuesday to break the fourth day of Ramadan.
A video from the gathering surfaced online on Wednesday, showing Burna Boy arriving at Dangote’s luxurious mansion, where he respectfully greeted the businessman before they exchanged a warm hug.
The singer was then introduced to other notable guests at the event.
Also present at the intimate dinner was Nigerian music concert mogul Cecil Hammond who is also the CEO of Flytime Entertainment.
Burna Boy has openly expressed admiration for Dangote, even naming a track after him on his Grammy-nominated fourth album African Giant.
The song ‘Dangote,’ released on February 28, 2019, highlights the industrialist’s relentless work ethic.
The singer’s time with Dangote follows his recent visit to another billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, who hosted both Burna Boy and Wizkid at his Lagos residence.
Otedola shared photos from their meeting, calling it a “true privilege.”
“Always inspiring to share ideas and celebrate the global movement that is Afrobeats…F.Ote $,” Otedola wrote on Instagram.
Cecil Hammond was also present at Otedola’s gathering.
